Dr. Cammie Lesser receives an NIH Transformative Research Award

Dr. Cammie Lesser, the d’Arbeloff MGH Research Scholar, is a recipient of a 2016 NIH Transformative Research Award for work devoted towards the Development of Designer Probiotics for the Treatment of Intestinal Infection and Inflammation. This award is part of the NIH Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program. The NIH Transformative Research Award supports exceptionally innovative, unconventional paradigm-shifting research projects that are inherently risky and untested. The project support by this award funds a collaborative project between Dr. Lesser at MGH, Dr. John Leong at Tufts Medical School and Dr. Wendy Garrett at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
